If you are looking for Depp, you got it.

“Private eyes
They’re watching you
They see your every move
Private eyes
They’re watching you
Private eyes
They’re watching you watching you watching you watching you”

If I could talk you out of watching Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince and that you are legally 16, I will recommend you to watch Public Enemies instead.

Yet again, it was a Johnny Depp movie that is not to be missed. His performance of John Dillinger is raw, spectacular and poignant. Unlike Christian Bale, he exudes a more worldly charm in executing the slightest emotions.

Basically, the movie chronicles the life of John Dillinger and a couple more crooks of his time. These crooks are otherwise known as Public Enemies. Why so? Being a full-time bank robbber is a threat to the society. Hence, that makes you a public enemy.

Now, although John’s loot makes him immensely wealthy, he is also immensely loyal.

More bank jobs later, he ends up at the wrong side of the law, implicates the love of his life, devastate his own life and then spiral to nothingness.

As they say, all criminals must be brought to justice and it is only a matter of time.

Strange as it might seem, Public Enemies reminded me of American Gangster; the rise and fall of a man of vice. All thanks to the love of their lives.

Hah, although the similaries are uncanny, let’s say Public Enemies is one up on American Gangster in wit, momentary light-heartedness and yes, blantant mockery on the law enforcement.
To laugh and cry in 2 hours? Buy me ticket (again)!

I want to watch both Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince AND Public Enemies. I just haven’t got the time. D=

Go watch Public Enemies soon! (online or on DVD) Em, I don’t know how Harry Potter will turn out. I gave it a miss.
